Barbara was one of a kind. She was an example to us all. She was caring, generous, kind and loving. I've known her since I was a little girl when she visited India. She led an extraordinary life growing up in China, working in Ghana. A committed Quaker she lived simply. When I first came to Settle, Yorkshire 20 years ago I stayed with her. She gave me help support and courage when I needed it. It has been a privilege to have her in my life. Thank you Barbara. You will be missed. RIP.
